2012 – Thunder hammered by champions
Having won Division One with two games to spare – after going 1-4 to start the season – Leopards didn’t take their foot of the gas as they hammered Worthing Thunder in front of a decent-sized crowd at Basildon.
Led by 30 Vernon Teel points, Leopards flew out of the block with a 33-21 first period, and had the game sewed up with a 20-point lead by the end of the third quarter.
Venue: Basildon Sporting Village

Despite winning their final home game of the season 98-81 over adidas London Leopards, Bullets finish the season in third in the Southern Conference, courtesy of Thames Valley Tigers’ win against London Towers.
A 15-2 run by the hometown side in the first quarter saw Bullets take a 24-15 lead going into the second, and although Leopards pulled back to 37-34, that was the closest they got.
Despite the result, Leopards have avoided the wooden spoon in the South, as Brighton’s loss puts them bottom after Leopards won the head-to-head series between the teams.
