Leopards have spent the last 16 years in the National Basketball League (although it was the England Basketball League when we arrived) with only one season outside the top flight.
Ten of those seasons have seen the Big Cats finish with a winning record, while the 2007/8 campaign saw them split their 18 games. Their best winning percentage was 83.3% in the 2011/12 championship season, while a 78% winning record was only good enough for runners-up spot the previous year. The 2014/15 season saw a 75% winning record, while the previous year’s 77% saw Leopards finish second.
Leopards’ worst completed season saw them finish with 23.1% winning record in the 2016/17 season as they suffered the only relegation in their history. The Big Cats had a 21.7% record when the 2019/20 campaign came to a premature end, but with a couple of winnable home games due to have followed, there’s a good chance they’d have improved that in the final weeks.
The Big Cats have had four top two finishes and sealed home court advantage in the play-off quarter-finals on seven occasions in Division One plus their single season in the second tier.
